Julia Connor maintains an active solo, orchestral, and chamber music career as a violinist. She made her solo orchestral debut at the age of eighteen with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra as the winner of the Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Concerto Competition. She has also performed in solo recitals throughout Europe and the US. During the summer she has attended festivals across North America and Europe, including the Litomysl International String Masterclass (Litomysl, Czech Republic), Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute (Toronto, ON Canada), and the Bowdoin International Music Festival (Brunswick, ME), where she was awarded a full tuition fellowship. She has served as concertmaster of the prestigious New England Conservatory Chamber Orchestra and has also served as concertmaster and concerto soloist with the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra.
Julia is also a dedicated music educator. She regularly leads workshops and sectionals for students in the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. In
