A well-rounded musician, harpsichordist and pianist, Dr. Jung Sun Yoon has given numerous concerts throughout Korea, Germany, Hungary, France and the U. S., including such venues as the Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Culture Center, Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum, and Symphony Hall in Boston.
She has participated in numerous music festivals including the Festival International des Arts in France, Early Music Programme & Festival at Vancouver in Canada, International Baroque Institute at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, Sion Master Class in Switzerland and Schleswig Holstein Festival in Germany. Ms. Yoon was a winner at the Landesverband der Tonkunstler und Musiklehere competition and Föderverein für Musik in Südholstein, Germany. She was also a scholarship winner at Boston University and received the Departmental Honor Award for outstanding achievement twice in Collaborative piano and in Historical Performance.Ms. Yoon was a faculty member at University of Seoul, Kimcheon University, Kyungwon University and Myongji University. Currently, she is music director at First Presbyterian Church of Waltham, MA. A native of Seoul, Korea, Ms. Yoon holds a diploma from Musikhochschule Lübeck, Germany where she majored in Music Education. She obtained a Master's degree in Collaborative Piano and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Historical Performance, and has studied with Peter Sykes, Shiela Kibbe, Gotlinde Sudau and Jinwoo Jung.
