Dedham School of Music is proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council’s Card to Culture program in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health’s WIC Nutrition Program, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and hundreds of cultural organizations across Massachusetts by making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a participation barrier.


Financial Aid and tuition assistance is available, even if you do not participate in the Card to Culture program. Our mission is to make music accessible for all, regardless of ability to pay.

Faculty Spotlight! 

🎺 Dr. Tommy Chiu – Boston-based trombonist and educator with over a decade of international experience!

Dr. Chiu teaches at Dedham School of Music, Noble and Greenough, Brimmer and May, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School, helping students succeed in district and all-state auditions, youth orchestras, and top college music programs.

A seasoned performer, he’s shared the stage as a soloist with ensembles like the University of British Columbia Chamber Orchestra, Boston University Wind Ensemble, and the Brookline Community Band. He also serves as Principal Trombone of the Boston Civic Symphony, and has appeared with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, Lexington Symphony, and the Chorus of Westerly Festival Orchestra, among others.

Discover the joy of the piano with personalized lessons. Our expert piano instructors will guide you through tailored instruction based on your experience level. Group Piano Classes for young children and adults as well as Collaborative Piano Sessions for teens or adults are also available. Piano lessons are offered on weekdays.
