Having been praised for being both “visually and in-sonically stunning” (boston musical intelligencer), Cuban American tenor Michael Gonzalez is quickly making himself known on the local and international stage. Having received his Bachelors and Masters in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music, Michael brings to DSM a decade of experience performing opera, oratorio, solo repertoire and liturgical works.
His past credits include Barigoule-Cendrillon, Aeneas-Dido and Aeneas, Claudio (Cover)- Das Liebesverbot, Satyavan-Savitri, Frederic-Pirates of Penzance, and Colonel Fairfax-Yeoman of the Guard. Michael is currently booked to perform with Mass Opera's new retelling of Magic Flute as Monastatos (May 2023). He will also be reprising his role with Cambridge Chamber Ensemble as Satyavan in Savitri (June 2023). He has also recently signed a contract to perform the role of Samson from one of Handel's greatest oratorios, Samson.
