Steven Moreno is a composer/guitarist who specializes in amplification, microtonality, and improvisation. They strive to create limitless noisy sound worlds that allow performers to listen and compose in the moment. During their time at Rutgers University, Steven helped cofound the ensemble and class called Split the Lark where they collaborated with students and composers to facilitate a creative space for musicians. Steven holds a Masters of Music from the Boston Conservatory where they focused extensively on tuning and temperament while performing and composing their own music. Steven is involved in various projects like guitarist/vocalist of extreme metal band Kraanerg, drummer of Niffin, guitarist/vocalist of Programmed Cell Death Reboot, and banjo/guitar in Green Light Jazz Orchestra. When Steven is not composing, they enjoy hiking new locations to write more music about.
