DSM is proud to offer classes for all ages, starting as young as six months old!
Protest music, divas, madness in opera... all are up for exploration and discussion in Molly Doran's Women in Music class that begins on Sept. 21. This six-week class based on the university-level course she teaches will also include women and the classical music canon, blues queens, women and madness in opera. For adults and teens ages 16+. Also starting the week of Sept. 21... our Group Piano classes with sections for both kids and adults! This is a popular way to 'try out' piano. To accommodate demand, we're offering two sections for kids ages 6 - 7 (Mondays or Wednesdays). We also have a Tuesday section for kids ages 8 - 10. And, there's an adult class on Tuesday nights. Space is limited so don't delay! What do pillows, spice containers, and pans and spoons have in common? They're all common items you can use to have fun in our Music, Mommy, & Me class! Ms. Viviana is back with an online format of her popular class for caregivers and children. Starting the week of Sept. 30, we'll have two options on Wednesday mornings -- one for ages 2 and under and another for ages 2 - 5. Are you interested in digital music production? Join our Exploring Music Technology course beginning on Oct. 5. Jenn Allen Zevos will cover the digital audio workstation, MIDI sequencers, synthesizers, drum machines, and audio editing techniques like mixing and post-production editing. Course participants will have a small portfolio of original tracks by the end of the ten-week session. For adults and teens ages 14+. Check them all out here!
